坂本龍一さんの「東風」に歌を付けてみました。この曲にはすでに矢野顕子さんの素晴らしい歌詞がが存在します。私の歌詞は…5年前に旅行した「ラマ島という香港の離島」の歌が作りたかった、それだけです。アレンジは香港歌手Gさん、歌は「イップ・マン」ソングを歌っていただいた亜沙美さんです。ミックスはmazeriさんです。ご協力いただきありがとうございました。
I wrote lyrics to "Tong Poo" by Ryuichi Sakamoto. In fact, the music has wonderful lyrics created by Akiko Yano. My lyrics are just a short story based on my impression on a day trip to Lamma Island in Hong Kong five years ago. The music was arranged by G san, a HIKer singer, vocal was recorded by Asami san, who sang "Ip Man Song." Mix is mazeri san. Thank you very much!

実際のラマ島 Actual Lamma Island

正直非常にフォトジェニックでファンタジックなリゾート、...ではありません。港はいるといきなりか発電所の2本の煙突が目に付くし、並んでいるお店とか熱海？というか日本の観光地っぽい（そこがまた面白いのだけれど）。でもなんとなく、秘密基地っぽいキッチュさがワクワクさせるところでした。香港そのものが秘密っぽいのに、さらにそこからこの離島ににギャングが逃げてきたりとかいう映画観たりするとね…。（香港ギャング映画観過ぎ。）あと、西洋人が多く居留していてヒッピー文化もあり、それ風のカフェがあったりします。高層建築がなくて、かわいいレトロな建物がならんでいるとか、4輪車が基本走ってないとか、いろいろルールが本島と違うようで独特な文化があるところが魅力。香港からフェリーで20分なので、機会があったら行ってみてください。
Lamma Island is NOT a photogenic, fantastic resort. When your ferry enters the port, a couple of long chimneys of power plants welcomes you. The stores lined along narrow streets are very casual and somewhat cheap like those in Atami in Japan. However, the retro and kitsch feelings make you excited, as if you found a secret base. Yes, you are supposed to be a young gang who escaped from the main island... according to my favorite Johnnie To's films. There are old Western hippies and cafes for them. No high-rise buildings and just pretty 4-3-story buildings lined up on the road without automobiles. The peculiar culture of this relaxing island is very charming. Lamma Island is only a 20min-ferry voyage from HK Island. I hope you drop by it when you have a chance.
